5.8 Race 4, Jurva. Worries continue! Weather was perfect when we woke up in the morning. Perfect day for racing. It would have been perfect if clutch would have worked and brakes would have lasted. Asko had serious problems on turn 2 (turn after long straight) when brake pad had totally worn off and it came out from the caliber. So that is that basically! Good thing is that the speed is there. 22.7 Race 3, Alastaro. New Honda was driven first time in Alastaro. There was several problems, which occurred during racing, but still the day can be kept successful. Although the performance of the car was not so good. But we are looking for missing horsepower's up to Jurva. |

22.5 - 21.7 Manufacturing new Civic. Due to the fact, that old Civic was sold in Kemora, we had to manufacture a new car to keep racing. Basically Mikko and Asko took the job. The result was good like expected and we kept the schedule to race on July. |

21.5 Race 2, Kemora. Expectations to the race were more or less divided. Honda has proven to be fast in Jurva, but several technical problems still worried. We have tried to fix everything, but there was no chance for tests before the race so we had to start hoping that everything is fine. Sunday morning raised a bit cold and rainy, but during the race there was no rain and whole race was competed using dry track. On qualifying session car worked fine and Asko gained 8th position, which was pretty good result when considering that track was new to all of us. Car felt good at the beginning, but after 1,5h same symptoms started than in Jurva. Car started to cuff more and more. This phenom caused many extra stops, including one extra stop where worn brake pads were changed. This way too many positions were lost. Also fortune was not on our side during the race. After each stop safety car was introduced and other teams did their stops during this period. Also at the end our car was sold during offering, though lock! Due to this we have to figure out some solutions on future. Maybe we will change to rear wheel drive car! |
23.4 Race 1, Botniaring. Race was a bit two sided to Mallas-Racing. In qualifying session Mallas-Racing gained its best position ever, fifth. Race also started well and some positions were gained. But after 1,5 hours something strange happened and car started coffin. We were not sure what it was and we loosed many places due to many useless pit stops. At the end we were 17th. Still there is much to do before racing again in Kemora 21.5.2006. |

13.4 Test, Alastaro. Mallas-Racing tested its equipment on snowy conditions. Track was awful to drive, so test was reduced to minimum. Not much any use... |

8-9.4 Hot Rod & Rock Show. Mallas-Racing participated to annual Hot Rod & Rock Show in Pirkkahalli Tampere. This expo brought this racing type much closer to common man and many interrested visitors stopped by on our stand. Hopefully this leads some new teams to participate Endurance. You could see Mallas - Racing video on the stand and offcourse Mallas - Grid Girls. |

11.3 Karting - Endurance. Osprey Racing Team arranged karting happening for Endurance people. All arrangements were super and driving and athmosphere was most of the time very pleasant. The race it self went quite OK. Our team was fifth, even though we were tenth after qualifying session. |

24.2 Mallas-Mese SOLD!. Our stolen van found a new home. It will be transported to Africa. We hope pleasant time to new owners together with the van. |

26.1 New Endurance forum opened. New Endurance related forum has been opened. It has been made in co-operation with two other teams: IT-Motorsport and Roihu Racing. The main goal is to serve all Endurance drivers including all Saloon teams. We wish all visitor welcome to make it even better! You can find the link to forum from Menu. |
1.1 Overview to season 2006. Maiden season is now over and it is time to start concentrate on new challenges on season 2006. Summer 2005 was most of all giving us the valuable experience, but now we can expect some success on race track also. Although new regulations give their own little spice to the driving. New "regular tyre" class is not everything our and several other teams were awaiting for. Hopefully we see some cars also driving that class. Situation concerning about the slicks is getting worse and probably the classes are more 50/50 divided close to the end. |
