30.11 Mallas-Mese was found! Our stolen van was found from Kaarina looking almost untouched, but when we started to drive it it was noticed that the clutch does not work perfectly. Ultimately it failed us close to Loimaa. That is why rest of the trip went using more bigger truck! ;)

Mallas-Mazda Sold! Mallas-Racings maiden car changed its owner. New team will be found over this and hopefully some needed horsepower's will be found later on. Hopefully we meet on track on summer 2006.

Race in Alastaro. Final race of the season 2005 was driven in Alastaro in very cold environment. It was first race using this new car of ours. That is why the feeling was very exited. Qualifying session went pretty well considering that 20th position was in the half way due to almost 40 car participating. Car felt to be more powerful than Mazda, but still some problems were noted and lots of thing need to be done during winter to get more grip to front wheels. Pasi needs the special thanks due to amazing best lap, which was over 2s faster than the second best driver in Mallas-Racing.
24.9 Race in Botniaring. Still the curse of the Botniaring will follow us. In first leg Marko apparently hit too hard the edge stones and something happens in suspension. During the race three slicks were destroyed due to this. That is why ultimately we installed regular tyres to avoid more losses. But what was the main thing in this race? The new car! We bought Honda Civic from TTL-Racing from this race. Hopefully it is faster than Mazda in Alastaro. You can read more about Honda in our Equipment section.

Mallas-Mese stolen! Our new and just restaurated van was stolen, when the guy who rented it did not return it. We contacted police right away and it seemed that the guy was already searched by police.

Race in Botniaring. Again it was not easy! New tyre bolts seemed to be crap and the threads were worn out right away. Finally when changing bolts two of them were cut out and serious repairing was done to put the Mazda back on track. We made it to the finish, but the results were not so good. Better luck next time!

Mallas-Mese. Mallas-Racings new van was painted using official Mallas-Racing color. In this picture the paint is still fresh and awaiting attaching of the plastic parts. The van is registrated up to 7- persons so it is perfect for Mallas-Racing purposes.

Race in Alastaro. The race in Kemora was left over due to the happenings in Botniaring, but in Alastaro Mallas-Racing presented improved equipment. Even though we faced problems in the cooling system we made it till the end. Practically the radiator was empty the final hour. Also Mallas-Racing Grid-Girls were cheering on the pit.

Race in Botniaring. It was first race where safety car was needed when the reason was Mallas-Racing. Our rear brake drum failed and whole tyre flew away. We did not have the spare parts and we needed to give up. Hopefully we have more luck on the next time!
22.5 Race in Motopark. We needed to retire in Motopark, but still we were 14th in the final results. One bolt in front suspension was failed and we could not fix it. Very small reason but still we needed to retire. Car felt to be more faster and also other properties seemed to be improved. It is good to continue from here!

The very first race in Botniaringillä! First race of Mallas-Racing was very exiting. We did not have any major goals but it would be nice if everybody could drive and the Mazda would last till the end. Mazda lasted fine even though there was a strange noise right after the start. The limits were also found at least by Pasi! Finally our position was 23th. In the beginning there was 37 teams so not bad at all!

First tests in Alastarolla! Basically the main purpose of the tests was to get familiar with the car. All drivers drove some laps with this missile and tried to get the feeling of the car. This was good exercise concerning about the first race.
Changes during the winter 2005. Complete car was painted to official Mallas-Racing colors and some improvements were also made to the engine and electrics. We have also made a little skoop to the hood to improve the air intake. Soon we could test the car!
February 2005, Car bought! So this is it! We bought the car from SuperSport Racing. Mazda 626 is the old war horse and soon it will glow again! Team was named to be Mallas-Racing even though there was also other ideas...
